Things to Know....
1) You can make money by using Shirt and Simple! Simply increase the base price in step 3 of your order page setup and you can make up to 15 dollars per ordered product! This is a great way to raise money for charity, fund a group event, or reward yourself for being such a great organizer! If you are worried that you might not have enough orders to meet the minimum limit (see organizer agreement), you can also set an organizer commission to offset any fees that might be incurred for having less than 20 orders. Please note that Shirt and Simple will deduct a small amount from your total organizer commission earned to cover processing and handling fees. This amount will always be less than 3% of your total collection.
2) NEW! Having a hard time getting people to order on your page? Check out these Invitation Tips!
3) You can create multiple events at one time using the same Login ID and password! Simply click on 'organizer login' and then 'organize a new group order'. It is a smart idea to use the same organizer ID for multiple orders because Shirt and Simple saves your address book so instead of rebuilding it for each order, you can continue to grow it!
4) Why not let people in your group see what they're ordering!?! Post the proof that you received from the graphic artist on your page and impress your friends!
5) You can have your order shipped to you! See our pickup and shipping page for more information.
6) We suggest that you print out the email form you get when your order period expires. This form contains a list of the names, sizes, and contact info of everyone who has ordered off your page. Having this list handy will make distribution very simple!
7) Did you know you can make changes to your order page? Simply log back into your account and hit the 'edit' button next to your active event. Change page info, extend order periods, upload a new event photo, and check out who's ordered so far on your page!
Common Ordering Problems:
1) You billing address is not correct: Make sure that the billing address you enter is the one that your billing statements are sent to. Many times, this is not your current residence if you are a college student.
2) Make sure you are entering your AVS number correctly. If you are unsure of what this is, be sure to click on the link, 'What is This' next to the AVS field while ordering the product.
3) If you order unsuccessfully and have a declined transaction, it is common for a pending charge to show up on your bank statement for 3-5 business days. This is because it takes time for our merchant bank to communicate with your bank that the transaction was declined. Rest assured that a declined transaction has NEVER become a real charge.
4) If you do not get an email receipt from us, you either entered your email address incorrectly while ordering OR you did not go all the way through the order page process to successfully complete your order. If the case turns out to be the later, you will not get a shirt. If you are concerned, please contact your organizer or our team!
Order Pages:
1) Your online order page goes active as soon as you complete step 5 of the order page creation process. You can start collecting money online right away!
2) You don't need to have your design figured out to begin collecting money online. As long as you know enough to complete the order page setup, you can start sending people to your page. Your design can be submitted, tweaked, and confirmed throughout your order process and does not need to be finalized until the end of your order period. We highly suggest providing your group with as much time as possible to order...so get started today!
3) Once you specify your preferred pickup date, our site will automatically set an order period termination date that gives our print team enough time to get your product ordered and printed. The time between your preferred pickup date and the order expiration time is dependant on your location. In Iowa City, for example, our team needs four business days to order and print your shirts once the final quantities come in. If you select next Friday as your pickup date, your order page will expire next Monday at 7am. This gives our printers Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to get your order finished and you can pickup the order first thing on Friday. In many cases, you can even pickup your order a day early...just be sure to call ahead!
4) You can always tell how much longer you have to order by going to your page and looking at the countdown at the top of it!
5) If you want to make changes to your order page or send out e-vites at any time, simply log into your account and hit the 'edit' or 'invite' buttons next to your event. You can change order page information, adjust the pickup date, upload a new order page image, and update new distribution instructions as long as your even hasn't expired yet!
6) If you upload an image to your order page and it doesn't show up, please contact our team...we can definitely help you get it to show up! Please note that the image upload on the order page is NOT a way to submit artwork to our design team. Please either contact our team via email, phone, or in person...or use our onsite design center to communicate your design ideas. Once our team has had a chance to process your ideas, we'll send you a proof for you to approve or make changes to. You are more than welcome to upload this proof to your page so people can see exactly what they're ordering!
7) You can add email addresses to our e-vite engine one at a time or in list (separated by commas). Please remember to move any addresses you want to actually send invites to over to the invitation list once you've added them to your account. Any email addresses you add will be saved in your account so you can use them again on any future orders. We are happy to assist you with any invitation questions or issues you might have.
8) While we do not have a minimum quantity at Shirt and Simple, we may charge a minimum order fee for orders under a certain quantity. This quantity varies by location, but is outlined in our terms and conditions. In Iowa City, for example, any orders under 20 are charged a minimum order fee for $2 a shirt for each order under 20. If you have 15 orders in your group, for instance, you will be charged $10 extra at pickup for being 5 shirts under 20 (5x2=10). You can easily offset this fee by adding an organizer commission to your order (if you are using our online order pages).
9) Organizer Commission is a great way to earn money for a charity, event, or yourself! As described above, you can also offset any minimum order fees by using this feature. In step 3 of the order page creation process, you have the option to increase the base price of your product by up to $15.00 (in increments of $0.50). This extra money is collected with each order and then a check is sent to you at the conclusion of your order period. Shirt and Simple retains the right to retain a small processing fee for organizer commission collected. This fee will never amount to more than 3% of the money you collect.
10) You can see a list of everyone who ordered a shirt for your event by logging into your account and hitting 'edit'. You will also receive a list of the names, sizes, and phone numbers of everyone who has ordered a shirt in an email with the rest of your order information when your order page expires. Please remember to print this out so that distributing your shirts is problem-free.
